Welcome! There are old pastures
returning to forest, hayfields, miles of old chestnut rail fences, old
apple trees still producing, mountain springs (our drinking water), rhododendron
thickets, flame azaleas, wild huckleberries, the famous Allegheny Mountain
blackberries, ponds, and a diversity of wildlife.
|
From the top field at 4400' in elevation there are spectacular views for over 50 miles of pristine ridges and valleys. The darkest night skies in the east begin right here . . . and are perfect for stargazing enthusiasts. The well-maintained Nature Trails make for a great family walk about. |
